the process

One of the most important aspects of your brand are your visuals (and content of course). This 8-step process is key to solving your branding dilemmas, make things look great and allows us to figure out how to make it work for you.

1. INQUIRY

After your receiving your request, we will set up an initial a phone call to discuss your goals. I will ask you questions regarding your business, vision and goals. This step allows me to understand how I can help you communicate your ideas effectively. We’ll discuss price quotes, timeframes, and other essentials.

PLEASE NOTE: While I will do my best, I am not able to take on every project that is submitted.

Projects are selected based upon my availability and timeline, as well as my abilities. Exceeding your expectations and executing your vision is important, so I will not take on a project that is not a strong fit.

2. BOOKING

If we're a fit, you will receive an email confirmation containing a brief welcome package from me including another introduction to the process, invoice and proposal tailored just for you based on our call.

Once we've confirmed payment, I will set up our first line of communication. I use Basecamp to streamline our communication and the design process.

3. RESEARCH/HOMEWORK

We're halfway there! To assist in the process, you are given client responsibilities for our upcoming project. I will send you a link to my branding questionnaire prior to your project start date.

In addition to the branding questionnaire, I ask that you create a secret Pinterest board full of ideas and inspiration to give me a sense of what you're wanting for your design.

There will be tons of open communication between us, so be sure to provide honest feedback and timely responses as they are essential to the success of the project.

4. CREATIVE

During this period, I will review your questionnaire and homework. I will work to create a mood board to set the overall tone of your new brand.

Within 10 business days of your start date, you will receive your first samples for review. Once we've confirmed, we will begin the logo design process (approx. 10-15 business days).

You will then receive a few logo concepts based on the information given in the initial stages and your approved mood board.

Once received, you will have the opportunity to review and request up to 2 rounds of revisions until we're ready to move forward. These will also be placed in your client account so that your image files are always accessible.

5.POLISH

Our entire creative process has led to this moment. I will create your style guide which includes your final logo and alternative logos, color scheme, font palette, and inspiration.

Prior to final steps, be sure you have all of your content, photos, and social network links up and running.

REMEMBER YOUR FINAL PAYMENT WILL BE DUE AT THIS TIME.

6.PRINT + SOCIAL

After polishing, I will be sending you your own brand kit with all your brand images, layout, and links to set the stage in print ready pdf form. We will then take you to web to complete the brand process.

7. WEB DESIGN + DEVELOPMENT

While we finish up your additional collateral, it's time to get started on your new website design. By this time, all site photography and content is due prior to website mockup completion.

During this step, the final mockup of the home page and main interior pages are completed and approved by you before moving forward. If any changes are requested after mockup approval, a separate invoice will be provided.

8. GO LIVE

Similar to previous steps, I will be sending you your own personal brand kit with all your brand images, layout, and links together able to show your brand to the world prior to the launch.

Once your new site is complete, your new custom theme will be uploaded onto your server. You will also receive a step-by-step tutorial for navigating and updating your new website. Once our final checklist is complete, we will move forward and launch.

+ How Do I Book You?

Contact me and I will send you a questionnaire to learn more about your business goals and if we're a good fit. Next, we will complete the paperwork and the retainer, you'll get access to the homework so you can get started immediately!

+ What is the best way to reach you?

Due to the number of inquires received, I am unable to schedule a call for every request I receive. The best way to contact me is via email, info@ravenponder.co.

+ What do I need before we start?

I need all of your content (images, website copy, etc) before we can start. I'll guide you through each step of your homework that needs to be completed one week before your design week. Failure to provide these items will delay the process.

+ are there any specific cancellation terms?

Yes. For any reason you would like to terminate our contract, your 50% non-refundable deposit will serve as the cancellation fee. Should you chose to cancel upon completion of assets, a pro-rated fee will be provided.

+ What are your payment terms?

A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot and the additional payment will be owed at the time project is rendered.

DO I need to provide anything prior to start date?

YES! We must have your content 2 weeks prior to the project start date. It is crucial we have these as the project can became delayed.

For any reason, the project is delayed because of failure to provide agreed upon material, late feedback from Client/team members OR additional time is needed to complete the project, the Client is required to pay an additional fee until the project has been completed.

+ What plaforms do you design on?

I design for both Wordpress and Squarespace. I design beyond the basic style editor and customize the site to fit your needs.

PLEASE NOTE: Wordpress spots are very limited - I design and develop the site so more time is needed for these projects.

+ What can I expect from you after my project?

Following post-launch, I provide support for deliverables up to 2 weeks. If you're in need of web maintenance or additional work, a retainer is available.
