the process

It's safe to say that starting off can be scary, but it doesn’t have to be.

A three week process developed with you in mind. We’ll work to research and understand your brand goals.

 
 

+ WEEK ONE : BRAND RESEARCH

We’ll begin with a brand questionnaire and Pinterest board to hone in on your ideal online presence. We’ll talk through your audience, your goals, as well as strengths and weaknesses.

During phase two, we’ll review two mood boards and color palette options created using inspiration from your homework. These are essential to seamless design and branding for all platforms.

+ WEEK TWO : LOGO DESIGN

It’s time to combine all of strategy notes into visually appealing design. I’ll send over two options for you to choose from for your logo based on your final mood board and we’ll get started. Once we finalize your main logo we’ll work on the alternative mark. This mark is also referred to as an alternate logo used when you don’t need your main logo.

In addition to your logo and submark we will also develop a favicon to represent you online. The favicon is the small icon you see in your browser tabs. We’ll create one that not only works in each browser, but work cohesively with your brand.

+ WEEK THREE : BRAND DEVELOPMENT

Our process is almost complete, but now we need to finalize the process. We’ll handle everything within three main areas: Typography, Patterns and Icon Design, before final files are delivered. For the first area, we’ll select your header, accent and script fonts to help you with consistency on all marketing materials for both print and web.

From your mood board we will create your own brand pattern and set of icons to use throughout your materials. Once everything is approved by you, I’ll send over your final files. Now you’re ready to launch!

+ How Do I Book You?

Contact me and I will send you a questionnaire to learn more about your business goals and if we're a good fit. Next, we will complete the paperwork and the retainer, you'll get access to the homework so you can get started immediately!

+ What is the best way to reach you?

Due to the number of inquires received, I am unable to schedule a call for every request I receive. The best way to contact me is via email, info@ravenponder.co.

+ What do I need before we start?

I need all of your content (images, website copy, etc) before we can start. I'll guide you through each step of your homework that needs to be completed one week before your design week. Failure to provide these items will delay the process.

+ Are there any specific cancellation terms?

Yes. For any reason you would like to terminate our contract, your 50% non-refundable deposit will serve as the cancellation fee. Should you chose to cancel upon completion of assets, a pro-rated fee will be provided.

+ What are your payment terms?

A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot and the additional payment will be owed at the time project is rendered.

+ Do I need to provide anything prior to start date?

YES! We must have your content 2 weeks prior to the project start date. It is crucial we have these as the project can became delayed.

For any reason, the project is delayed because of failure to provide agreed upon material, late feedback from Client/team members OR additional time is needed to complete the project, the Client is required to pay an additional fee until the project has been completed.

+ What plaforms do you design on?

I design for both Wordpress and Squarespace. I design beyond the basic style editor and customize the site to fit your needs.

PLEASE NOTE: Wordpress spots are very limited - I design and develop the site so more time is needed for these projects.

+ What can I expect from you after my project?

Following post-launch, I provide support for deliverables up to 2 weeks. If you're in need of web maintenance or additional work, a retainer is available.
